Job Description

  • Role is 1 year FTC, with the possibility of a permanent role thereafter

MIS Helpdesk responsibilities:

  • Will be expected to work�on rotation in a shift pattern allowing for full market coverage between 7am - 7.30pm and participate in an on-call rota. This is a fully�onsite role
  • Provide exceptional day to day 1st, 2nd & 3rd level support for both hardware and software relating to EUC operations, includes; Hardware and Software support, telephony including mobile, audio visual, and printing
  • Install, configure and maintain workstations, hardware and software; Operating system Windows 10/11, applications to include; MS Office 2021/365 and MS Office add-ins & macros, Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, MarketView, Python knowledge and basic coding (useful)
  • Application deployment and troubleshooting via SCCM.
  • Set up and management of corporate mobile phones and related apps via MDM solutions; AirWatch and Intune
  • Troubleshoot and maintain; Canon printers, scanners and other peripheral hardware
  • Preparation of new joiners, including AD account creation and management, desk set up, PC/Laptop builds, applications, telephony, network connectivity.
  • Desk Preparation for visitors and desk moves.
  • Set-up of meeting presentations and video conferencing calls
  • Contribute to IT documentation creation, changes, how to guides and procedures.
  • Analyse incidents/request and contribute to our continuous improvement?s ethos
  • Role is onsite 5 days per week. May be required to work beyond normal business hours if needed

Qualifications

Experience: At least 3-5�years? experience as a Senior IT Support/Desktop Engineer.

  • Very good experience supporting a Microsoft environment; Windows OS, MS Office products
  • Very good experience working with EUC networks; PC NIC, Patching, Wi-Fi
  • Very good experience managing; Active Directory, GPO?s, Exchange 2019, SCCM
  • Good experience supporting and working with telephony systems; MS Teams Voice, Cloud9 turret, Airwatch and Intune
  • Good experience supporting and working with AV (audio visual) technologies
  • Good experience and knowledge virtual environments; Citrix, VMWare VDI
  • Good experience supporting trading applications; Reuters, Bloomberg, ICE
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies; Azure, AWS
  • Very good communication skills, collaborative and inclusive
  • Good experience with PowerShell beneficial
  • Automation creation experience advantageous
  • Good project management understanding
  • Good experience working with vendors, providers and other internal business teams
  • Previous experience working within a Trading environment at a Commodities house, Hedge Fund, Private Equity or similar organisation.
  • Education: Preferably Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or related IT qualifications (Active)
